Referendum cannot take place during the state of emergency, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a special session of the parliament on Monday.

The Armenian government has decided to declare a state of emergency in the country for a month until April 16.

Russian authorities on Monday banned foreign nationals from entering the country, shut state schools and limited public gatherings in Moscow in an effort to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The ban on foreign nationals will be enforced from March 18 until May 1, though diplomats, airplane crew members and some other categories of people will be exempt, the government said.
