St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will take place on May 24–26, 2018 at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) is a unique event in the world of business and economics. SPIEF has been held since 1997, and since 2006, it has been held under the auspices of the President of the Russian Federation, who has also attended each event.

Every year, the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum serves as a platform for the discussion of key issues in the world economy, regional integration, and the development of new industrial and technological sectors, as well as of the global challenges facing Russia and other nations.

Events at the Forum traditionally take place in the form of panel sessions, roundtables, televised debates, business breakfasts, and business dialogues devoted to Russia’s relationships with various countries. Major Russian and international companies with Forum Partner status have the opportunity to present their products and services and organize themed networking areas. The SPIEF Investment & Business Expo is a platform at the Forum venue where companies can showcase their promising Russian and international investment projects, B2B solutions, and technologies.

SPIEF participants include representatives from business communities, heads of international organizations, public officials, experts, scientists, and journalists. In 2017, the Forum brought together a record number of participants – over 14,000. SPIEF 2017 saw the signing of 475 investment agreements, memorandums, and statements of intent, worth a total of RUB 1,817.9 billion.
