Bishop Sahag Maşalyan elected Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople

Bishop Sahag Maşalyan has been elected the 85th Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople.

The final election for the Patriarch took place this morning at the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople.

A total of 119 delegates elected the new Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople.

The other candidate for the Patriarch was Archbishop Aram Ateşyan.
