The Armenian government’s interference in Church affairs is a key indicator of its increasing authoritarianism, world-renowned lawyer and international human rights activist Robert Amsterdam wrote on X.
“[Armenian PM] Mr [Nikol] Pashinyan’s insecure and hysterical exclamation, ‘the government is me’, tells you all you need to know about this ‘democracy’ so often hailed by the West,” Amsterdam added.
