Vahagn Khachaturyan took office Sunday as President of Armenia at an extraordinary session of the Armenian Parliament at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan.
“Assuming the office of the President of the Republic, I swear to be faithful to the Constitution of Armenia, to be impartial in the exercise of my powers, to be guided only by the state and national interests and to put all my efforts into strengthening national unity,” Khachaturyan’s oath reads.
