I believe avoiding the war that Azerbaijan wants to impose on Armenia is possible and is a must. Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of Armenia stated this at Friday’s meeting with the ruling Civil Contract Party supporters at Ajapnyak district of Yerevan.
“Of course, unfortunately, this isn’t guaranteed, but today, Armenia is clearly showing the international community that there is a problem with borders. International observers come, we look at the documents and see where the border passes. Maps of the Soviet Union were disclosed, and we all saw that the border in the upper section passes through the water, and it’s 20-30%. Let’s take a look and explore it. If this is the case, let’s ask ourselves if we need to wage a war for that 30% of Sev Lake. We’re not going to escalate the situation for 30% of Sev Lake. We can pull the troops back for few days until the international observers come,” he said.
