The official websites of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) state institutions, including Nankr.am (National Assembly), Nkr.am (Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Nkrgov.am (Government), Milnkr.am (Defense Army), etc., are no longer operational.
These official pages were shut down by the National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia in February 2024, a few months after the complete surrender of Artsakh to Azerbaijan, the NKR InfoCenter told Yerevan.Today.
“We contacted the NSS press center to find out what justification and/or explanation they will give for the abovementioned matter. Hours later, we received a call back from the NSS, and they suggested applying in writing,” Yerevan.Today added.
Also, sections related to Artsakh have been removed from the official websites of Armenia’s state institutions (Ministry of Defense, Prosecutor General’s Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, etc.).
“[Armenian Prime Minister] Nikol Pashinyan did not ban making updates to the [aforesaid] websites, but simply ordered [them] to be shut down. And websites that had been operating for decades, with thousands of archive materials, have simply been destroyed,” Yerevan.Today added.
