Pashinyan: Referendum cannot take place during the state of emergency

Referendum cannot take place during the state of emergency, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a special session of the parliament on Monday.

“The referendum will take place not earlier than in 50 days and not later than in 65 days after the end of the state of emergency,” he said.

Earlier the Armenian government decided to declare a state of emergency starting 6:30 pm Monday and up to April 14.
