33 Turkish soldiers die, 36 injured in Idlib

Thirty-three Turkish soldiers have died and another 36 injured in Idlib.

Turkish defense minister Hulusi Akar has arrived at the command center in the border Hatay province and took command of the operation against the Syrian government forces in Idlib, RIA Novosti reported referring to Anadolu agency.

According to Haber Turk, Akar arrived in Hatay after a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Erdogan convened a meeting on security, attended by the heads of security agencies and MFA.

Ankara have announced the beginning of ground and air attacks on the positions of the Syrian government forces. Ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party spokesman Omer Celik said the incident is an attack on NATO. He announced consultations with the alliance.
